Airasia Manage My Booking FAQs

1)      I have done Self Check-in via Web, what changes can I make to my booking?

Answer: You are allowed to purchase/upgrade baggage size (4 hours to departure time), purchase or change meals (48 hours to departure time), purchase comfort kit (48 hours to departure time), prebook seat (4 hours to departure time), purchase AirAsia insurance, skybus and Tune Talk. All the above changes can be done via “Manage My Booking” page.

2)      How can I change destinations once the booking is confirmed?

Answer: Sorry, AirAsia does not allow changes on destinations/routes. Guests need to purchase new ticket for the new destination and the original booking will be forfeited.

3)      How do I transfer the ticket to another person?

Answer: Name change option is no more available for all destinations except flights to/from Japan and Korea effective 1 November 2011.  If guest(s) booked ticket before 1 November 2011, you will be entitled to a one (1) time name change. Name change is allowed up to 6 hours prior to flight departure time. Kindly be informed that the changes do not allowed for promo fares. Change name to a confirmed booking will incur change fee. 4)      Can I change flight dates and time? How?

Answer: Yes. You can login to Manage My Booking page to change both flight dates and time (up to 48 hours prior to scheduled flight departure time). Otherwise, you may access it using AirAsia Mobile App (iPhone, Android, Blackberry) , mobile.airasia.com or at AirAsia Sales Office/Airport Sales Counter.

5)      How to make changes to booking if I paid using Direct Debit?

Answer: Please go to AirAsia Sales Office/Airport Sales counter or contact call centre for changes.

6)      What conditions should I know before changing the flight?

Answer: Flight changes are allowed if outside of 48 hours prior to the scheduled flight departure time. Flight changes are subject to the following terms:

a)      If a lower fare is available, the difference in fares will not be refunded.

b)      Guest(s) should pay the extra fares if the new flight booked is in a higher fare.

c)       Changes on route(s) are not allowed

d)      The change is not confirmed until you receive a new itinerary or booking number.

7)      Can I transfer AirAsia Insure Travel Protection if I were to change flights?

Answer: No. The AirAsia Insure Travel Protection policy will be forfeited once you change flight.

8)      How to view or retrieve my booking itinerary?

Answer: Login to Manage My Booking page to view and retrieve your itinerary.

9)      How many cards can I add to Manage My Booking for payment?

Answer: You can add up to 3 cards under your AirAsia Member’s account.

10)   Where can I get the seat numbers for the flights that I have booked?

Answer: Guest(s) have option to choose the seats with Pick A Seat service. For guests who have not opted for Pick A Seat, you’ll be assigned with a random seat which will be available on your boarding pass during check-in.
